ALBUM NOTES

The Hiding is the 1st installment of Seasons. Released on September 26th, 2019, this album was inspired by a season of hiding that The Lord took us through from mid 2017 to early 2019. We write about what it means to hide with The Lord and how to respond with joy in the season.

Every Christian will, at some point in time, have to endure a "Hiding" season. All throughout the Scriptures we see evidence of this: Moses hid in Midian for 40 years, Elijah hid by the Brooke Cherith, Joseph was hidden in prison, etc.

There's purpose for Hiding seasons. Sometimes we need to unplug and escape the words of the world. Decisions need to be made, and answers need to be heard.  Hiding can be a great opportunity to clearly hear The Lord.

What we've learned is that hiding seasons can also be extremely difficult. The reason is that The Lord places us in them when we least WANT them. Maybe that's been the case for you? I'm sure it was similar to Joseph. After a wonderful dream that he shared with his brothers, he instantly was cast away from his family, sold into Egypt and hidden in prison for over 10 years.

Although hiding seasons are difficult, there will always be a success story afterward, if we endure. Joseph endured years of prison only to exit as 2nd in command of Egypt. Elijah endured his hiding season to come out confident and prepared to confront King Ahab. These are great stories, but it doesn't end with them! The Lord ultimately used  these faithful men to set the space for Jesus  historical human entrance.

Israel entered Egypt through a famine that forced them to travel to safety (Joseph). Israel was rescued FROM Egypt, through the wilderness and into the Promised Land (Moses). From there came countless other prophets that have endured a time of hiding in order to faithfully and effectively prepare the people for a Savior!

Friend, as you wrestle during this Season, our prayer is that you learn to hide well with The Lord. Dwell with Him, and rest in Him. There, you will be satisfied.
